Every family historian knows that facts matter. We need to get our facts right about our ancestors as well as the world they lived in. I recommend following Judy Russell for many reasons, but this article really resonates.
Surprising no one I am sure, the Family History Institute in Wytheville has been cancelled. This is one of my favorite conferences and I am a bit broken hearted, but we have to be safe and flatten the curve.

Understandably The Library of Virginia has cancelled all public programming due to the corona virus situation. VGS is looking into doing a virtual conference. More to come on this. Check the VGS site for more info.
